I'm afraid my life is over and my curious daughter is researching my life in the Navy. I was on the Sturdy when it ran aground on 30 Nov 1940 and although I wrote somewhere that I was discharged after that, my daughter learned from my naval record that my discharge was indeed later, after serving on the Daedalus. Now she's wondering if the Daedalus went down too and I'd perhaps got confused.
