Hello, my grandfather was a Royal Marine during WW2 on board the HMS Belfast. His name was Frank Alfred George Roberts, is anybody on here familiar with that name or can assist me in any capacity to source further information. I have tried to access his service record without much joy as I'm told those records for some reason are not readily available to members of the public yet. Unfortunately my grandfather passed away many years ago but left us with nothing to go on. Even if I can find out if he was awarded any medals. Any information is better than nothing at all.
