On Tuesday 25th Sept there is a gathering to support this campaign in Steine Gardens at the War Memorial in Brighton Sussex. It is hoped the Politicians in the City for their Annual Conference will take note and give us their further support. have a look on EfVA website and become involved. Newspapers both local and National need to be informed of this injustice. Likewise write to your local MP and do not take NO for an answer.
Civil Servants get a pension pre April 1975. Make your own rules up when you work for the Government directly. All HM Forces should be treated the same.
Veterans of the UK Armed Forces serving on regular engagements who left the service prior to April 1975 having completed less than 22 years for Other ranks or 16 years for Commissioned Officers made indirect contributions towards pension but receive no benefit in return. Those who served for a minimum of 2 years beyond April 1975 are entitled to a preserved pension pro-rata their service on reaching the age of 60,on the same terms as the pre-April 1975 leavers. This is an outrageous injustice which Governments over the past 30 years have chosen to ignore.
