VALIANT BOMBER SERVICING IN THE 1960s
Pleased to hear sombody had fun at 32 MU! My time there, 54-55 was definitely lacking in fun except for the period I was on the Mountain Rescue team
I was at RAF Marham 1963 to 1965 worked in the hangar as an airframe fitter.I often had the occasion from time to time to do my stint on QRA
always went prepared with my party seven. All the best Dennis Paddy
Sorry for my absence but since July i have spent a fair amount of my time in hospital having been diagnosed with neuroendocrine cancer on top of which i have had several spells of Appendicitis which cannot be operated on due to it's proximity to the main tumour. But i digress i also worked on two "V" bombers (Victor Mk 1 and Valiants) at Gaydon as an aircraft electrician working in the armoury on nuclear bomb gear and had to get 14 aircraft ready for action during the Cuban crisis.. Hope you all have a great easter all be it lonely.
