HMS Tiger 2020 Reunion
My late father Ken Langshaw served on HMS Tiger around 64-66 time the last commission before being refitted and the aft turrets being removed to fit the hangar. I have 2 cut down shell cases made in to ash trays with pennies over the primer from the year that the last rounds were fired from any rear turret in the Navy I believe no Navy ship has had rear turrets since Tigers were removed in the refit. My Dads mess deck was going in the refit and they raffled of the Mess property for charity he won a dockyard model of the ship in a glass case it was huge unfortunately it was left in the garage of our quarter in Plympton around 65-66 time when we moved house as it would not fit on the removal lorry. Would be worth a fortune now must have been at least 8 to 10 feet long.
Would you be willing to sell one of the shell cases as I would purchase it and put it into our associations raffle, depending on the price of course.
Stay safe and kind regards
