I'll have another go at Admin about the long promised revamp and report back.
Yes and Yes. I have casual browsers turned off as I am not interested in who is looking at my profile. If they want later to contact me that's fine - it's not that I am unsociable but often people click on the wrong thing.
come to think of it, I don't think I have ever received notification by email that someone has replied to my post. I thought they had professionals who made this site, on the email reply turn on they cannot even spell replies, they have got replys
If you do not post within a couple of days it does not show.
I have had problems trying to send PM's as well. Sometimes i find that although i have signed in, it won't let me reply. It can be annoying to say the least. The same applies when replying to a post.
Just as a general observation I never log out - I just go off the site so never need to log back in. I do get a few notifications which are Emails but not as many as I ought to as I find when I go through the threads - this one is an example - not heard a thing about any responses after Bob asked me to send him a message.
I'll do it within the next day or so and see what happens.
That page, When you are Logged in will show every message you have sent to us and all of our replies. It will only work if you are Logged in.
I always thought Tonto said something like Me no Sabe but it's a long time since watching him at the local bug house at the Saturday Matinees.
In Navajo, on the other hand, “kemosabe” translates as “soggy shrub.” If this seems an odd thing for faithful friend Tonto to call the Lone Ranger, perhaps he was just repaying the Ranger's long-standing insult. “Tonto,” after all, is a Spanish word meaning “stupid.”
The Lone Ranger and Tonto are riding across the plains with sacks of rubbish strapped to their saddles. They are going To the Dump, to the dump, to the dump.
Lone ranger and Tonto are chasing a couple of 'Baddies' who have robbed a stagecoach. They come to a fork in the road and can't decide which way they have gone so they split up. After a short while Lone Ranger gives up and goes back to the fork in the road to then follow Tonto. He rounds a bend only to find his friend laying flat on the floor, face down, with his ear to the ground. He runs over to Tonto who lifts his head and says "Stagecoach pass here 15 min ago. Two men sitting on top and 3 inside. Two Black horses and Two Palamamino pull coach. They go that way" and points to his left. "Are you telling me that you can tell all those things by just putting your ear to the ground" asks the Lone Ranger. "No" says Tonto. "Stage coach ran over me"
Have you tried to contact Admin about this? There are often glitches on this site so a good idea might be to have a private Email contact with someone else who you can ask to enquire on your behalf.
I have tried e-mail and that falls flat.
