This year I will be remembering not just the first & second world wars, but all those other conflicts that cost so many brave lives. Lets not forget you don't have to be blown up or shot to be killed in the British Army, Training cost lives, like David Fenton who lost his life when his Leyland 22 ton recovery truck and low loader went over the side of the hertz mountains, in as it was then West Germany. Dusty Scott went through the window but survived after 6 months in hospital. We buried David in the British Cemetery outside Monchengladbach, I still miss him we were in the same unit, same section, same room. I salute all our men & women who put the countries uniforms on, train hard & fight hard, when called upon to do so. I wonder if there is a record of all those that were killed on training exercises, after all they did give their life for their country.
