Some good memories, great bunch of colleagues but hated the place.
I was stationed at Al Milah with 7 Squadron RCT driving ten ton tippers carrying fill for the Aden/Habilayn road, hot dusty and at times dangerous work, what with the land mines night attacks, though the RAF Hunters would scream low over the camp, nice to know they kept us in mind as they went about their other business.
In 65, about mid-March, we took a couple of people from every unit in Aden on a jolly to the Seychelles and then Mombasa. Came back and then proceeded to send long days loading Officers large packing crates and furniture into out tank deck for shipment to UK.
