Its time a Medal that covers British Servicemen and Women , Veteran, Civilian caught in IED/EOD on British Mainland or oversees which resulted in injuries or trauma effects. From IRA/ Terrorism from WW2-Present day
Secondly, its time a POW Medal was awarded WW2-Present day

I agree. During the First World War British service people received a ‘wound stripe’ as a visible sign they had been wounded in action.
Precedence has therefore already been set and this would just be a case of resurrecting an old ‘award’.
I’m not sure if it should remain as a stripe (in uniform) or go as far as a medal (like the Purple Heart) but in principle I think an ‘award’ is more than justifiable.
