Military Covenant to be agreed by all councils
Forum thread for campaign Military Covenant to be agreed by all councils
“ Now the Wiltshire has taken the lead and signed up to the Military Covenant, shouldnt all councils follow? ”
The council and co-founder of Help for Heroes signed the covenant to support 30,000 personnel and their families.
It was also signed by Wiltshire’s "civilian community", tying the whole county into honouring the commitment.
The covenant will enable Wiltshire to bid for Ministry of Defence (MoD) funding to run local projects aimed at improving life for military families.
Isnt it about time other councils also signed up?
Why should immigrants have priority over soldiers for houses and other benefits.
Does anyone have a list of Councils who have signed up to the Covernant?
Did you also know that
If someone has served in the Services it should be noted at the GP and they record on EMIS 13Ji This means that they will have it for Audit. Coding will make veterans visible and in accordance to the Military covenant prioritizing health care. Not all GPs are aware or record. Issues recorded include muscaskelatal, depression etc
Why are veterans different ? death per 1000 is 150 time Higher than the general population. This impacts families too so if a family member to be noted too.
