Happy Newyear to all of you Lets hope that 2021 turns out a better year Mine at the moment is a brandy sour all ready and waiting Cheers Every One
Hi Vicky - good to know you have been in touch with Margaret, hope she is OK. I can well remember when she lost Phil as it was just a few weeks before Alan died (just coming up to 3 years on 18th January).
Not good news to hear that your 2nd vaccinations have been postponed - have you been advised when they might take place? Still waiting to hear when I might be offered mine!!
Take care and stay safe. Our other Grandma (daughter's mother-in-law) was laid flat with this virus 10 days ago but luckily is now recovering well at home.

Thanks for that Vicky - I haven't heard anything yet but, if the local media is to be believed, I should be contacted within the next 7 days - will let you know. Lakeside would be just perfect for me!!
You stay safe too !!!!

A number of folk around the village seemed to have had jabs at a fairly local Rugby Club, around 10 miles away. We had heard nothing whatsoever until last Sunday when letters arrived from the NHS offering jabs at a new centre at Taunton Race Course due to open on Monday. That's OK, but Taunton Race course is approx. 23 miles away by road which explains the round trip of 46 miles. We 'ummed & 'arrhed but eventually decided to take the offer. Within one hour of booking the appointments (for today) there was a phone call from our GP's surgery to ask if we could get along to the Rugby Club for jabs at lunchtime yesterday. Needless to say we opted for the shorter journey and it all worked very well indeed. Biggest problem turned out to be cancelling the Taunton appointment, but eventually succeeded using the same web address that we'd used to book up. No joy at all with helpline phone no. 119 (far too busy to get through.) Easy on the website, follow through the steps you made, confirm the various numbers, then, right at the end, you have an option to cancel. Do so and that's it! No side effects from the jab whatsoever so far, hope you all get yours soon. Cheers, Syd.
