Cyber Family 200
Dennis its not Bucklars Hard but not too far away. Ian sails out of Ashlett Creek in to the Solent.
Take care and stay safe.
Hope everyone is ok and coping.
PS: Here's a picture of me demonstrating how not to ride a motorcycle...especially when the owner is watching!
I read a story years ago from a lady who was looking after her sister's kids while their mother was in hospital. She said the first night she asked them what they would like for supper and they all wanted toast. She made them toast, made sure it was a lovely golden brown, cut it into shapes - houses, forts, ships etc and went to dish it up for them. They all burst into tears and when she asked them what was wrong they said they wanted 'Real toast - like Mummy makes!'
It turned out that 'Real toast' was when you take it to the back door and scrape off all the burnt bits!
I love it - it always gets a great reception!
For something a bit brighter it will be our wedding anniversary on Friday when we hit the 68 year mark. Where do the years go? I've got a card I bought a couple of years back from when I couldn't make up my mind which of two I preferred. So that's settled matters - it's the turn of card number two this time - it is a lovely one and made it very difficult to choose so hopefully Patricia will be pleased.
Bye for now everyone - take care.
Congratulations to you and Patricia Terry on your 68th Anniversary tomorrow. Have a lovely day.
Thank you, Vicky and Kim for your Birthday Wishes and do please join me in a glass or two..... the G & T s are on me. xx
Also sorted out my newspaper bill. I only have a paper on a Saturday in order to get the Weekend Magazine for the weeks TV. I like to go through it on a Saturday and circle all the programmes I want to watch during the week. Which reminds me, Vicky, if you haven't already seen there is an hours programme on Andy Murray tomorrow at 4pm on BBC2.
I also made a call to my hairdresser to put my name on top of the list of clients to be visited as soon as the restrictions are lifted. They ae talking about lifting them on the 4th July. I can't wait to get a cut and a blow dry and I'm sure that Vicky and Kim feel the same.
Hello Pamela - hope you have got all your meds sorted out. I can't seem to make contact with my hairdresser at the moment but I do hope she gets her scissors sharpened up soon 'cos I feel like a scarecrow at the moment (lol).
Most definitely time for a G&T now girls, wont help the hair problem but it will make me feel better and take my mind off it!!
At the moment I have the district nurse coming in every other day to dress my legs. I got quite a nasty infection and had to have a long course of antibiotics. The left leg has more or less cleared up but the right one is still ulcerated and weepy. I have had enough of it now as it is really quite painful.
Vicky, I have been trying to instigate a NBT (Not Before Ten) rule but tonight I think I will ignore that and join you in an early G & T.
How is the house move going by the way ?
No more going around looking like a shaggy dog!......
Kim there was a message from Shirley on FB today, she had to take Ray to the hospital as he was having breathing difficulties. He checked ok and is back home.
Good to hear you have a hair appointment in place - must make you feel better already.
Shame you have lost the bungalow you wanted, just hope you are in a position to move when something else pops up.
to hep you win it. James Milner being the exception ( ex. Leeds United ) Once again all the best Tommy.
Hope you too are feeling well and I am not forgetting Gwynedd. I've been very frustrated lately because I seem to having a problem with logging in at times. Takes ages so I just forget about it for a while. With all that and the disappearing threads and posts it seems the site is simply falling to bits. I am still going to leave when my subs run out. I'll miss every one of my friends but that's life.
I often feel so tired and weak that it's an effort to do anything but it's down to some tablets I am on and the doctor says I really need them. So, what can I do? Just keep taking them I suppose. Anyway it will have to be bye for now, best regards to all,
Kim and Pamela I only have one more week to wait until I can get my hair cut, its driving me crazy at present. We have reduced the price of the house as well to try and sell it quickly. I think a large G&T is called for later.
Good luck with the house sale. Yes, large G&T definitely called for later.
