Cyber Family 200
Terry, it wasn't Vicky who put it on for you. It was I, Pamela!
Ooops. Red face for me Pamela. How on earth did I do that? I think when I opened up the thread I saw the picture first so jumped in head first. Truly sorry! When I come to see you I'll make it up to you. Many thanks. XX
Congratulations to Kim and Andy Murray on the birth of their new baby boy. A little brother for Sophia and Edie to spoil.
Well, I'm still waiting for the social worker to arrive to take me to see my new flat. I have been ready since 9-30a.m.!
On the good news front, I was weighed earlier on and I have lost 2.4lbs since last week.

Well done on your weight loss Pamela, I weigh in tonight and hope I am still at target. Lovely to read about Andy and Kims baby boy. They will have their hands full with three little ones as I know, we had three under 4.
I had to have a blood test today, its an annual one because I take Ramipril.
I have been busy in the garden clearing up after the weekend. Lots of leaves down but a lot more to come down.I
Hope you have seen your flat by now Pamela and that it is satisfactory for you.

I'm afraid that yesterday was a complete car crash, Vicky. Having waited for 5 hours I decided to give the social worker a ring. Se told me she had never said she was taking me to see the flat on the 4th November. She had. She lied like a cheap Chinese watch. I am convinced that they have a special week in social work school where they are taught to lie through their teeth without blinking!! Anyway, she said she would get back to me in a couple of weeks time. Although I am told that the flats themselves are very nice it turns out that they are completely unfurnished so I have to find my own furniture . Fortunately the mother of one of the night staff runs a branch of Freecycle and Emily has told me not to worry they will source everything for me and make sure that I have everything I want.
I hope that all goes well for you at your weigh in tonight.

Pamela words fail me.Where do they get these people from? Its disgraceful treatment. I do hope things work put for you.
I gained half pound this week but not too worried as I am still at target.

Due to Pamela's efforts on my behalf I am now able to add a photo here of a wonderful gift from Granddaughter Connie. It is a ceramic poppy from among those displayed around the Tower of London in 2014. It comes with a certificate of authenticity and she has apparently been searching for one for ages. It was well in time for me to have it and enjoy before Remembrance Day and for the future. It is now on display on the window ledge in our living room for anyone to see as they pass. It stands just over two feet high and is on a stainless steel stand. I cannot thank her enough.
Nothing new there Pamela in having to battle Social Services - it seems like it's about par for the course but always very upsetting and I hope it gets sorted very soon. I would have thought that there would be at least the bare bones of furniture for you in your new place but it seems that there again you have to fight for everything. I've heard of Freecycle but never had occasion to look into it. Might have a shufti in case someone is giving away an original Gibson 335 guitar. Well - I can dream!
Saw this on a friends facebook page and thought it rather appropriate!!!

Afternoons everyone.
We have been to Southampton today, I wanted some new trousers and to go to the card factory to get all my family Christmas cards as they are so much cheaper there. The local bus goes all around the villages so is quite a nice ride.
Ian went out for a sail yesterday, quite cold but enjoyable
Any news on your flat Pamela?
Hope you are all well, hugs all round.

Hi Vicky, glad you are getting on OK with your Christmas shopping. I still have 5 birthdays to sort out before Christmas, getting there slowly!!
Lots of hugs to everyone - it is getting very chilly so do stay safe and warm.

Hi everyone. I finally got taken to see the flat this afternoon and initially was rather disappointed after the big build up it had been given. The builders were in and the place looked a mess with no carpets or curtains so it was hard to visualise it all done up and properly furnished. Now that I have had the chance to picture it redecorated with new carpets and curtains etc. I think it could be quite a nice little place. The decider may well be the fact that as we were leaving I mentioned that I had noticed a cat flap on the door of flat1 and did that mean we could keep a cat. I was told that I could keep a dog as well if I wanted to!! Windyways (the local animal rescue sanctuary) may be getting a call in the near future to see if they have any kittens needing a home.
The journey back wasn't wasted either as I suggested to the social worker that we check out the shops close to the flat and I picked up a bottle of Gordons while we were at it!!

Greetings Gentlefolk - a tad belated but I've had a problem logging in and with my lap top. Our Granddaughter Connie came over on Sunday for Remembrance Day bringing with her our little GGson Alfie and when we got home afterwards she took some photos. Here's one of them :-
I always go back to my home town of Oldham for a second Remembrance Day ceremony which happens of course six years out of seven. It takes place in a shopping mall but although the number of ex-service people is small at times it does draw a big crowd. I only managed one photo but It seems fairly good.
Drat, drat and double drat! Lord knows what is going wrong at present.

Andy Murray and his wife Kim have named their new son Teddy,? and have kept true to Murray's??????? Scottish roots by giving him the middle name Barron.
Teddy was born in London only a few days after Murray won the European Open in Antwerp just nine months after announcing he may have to retire.
He joins three-year-old Sophia ?and 2 year-old Edie? in the Murray family, and the 32-year-old explained the name Barron runs in the family.?
"The middle name got in there," Murray said. "I don't actually love the name.
My dad's middle name was Barron,? his dad was Barron,? my granddad's dad, ?so I kept that.
But Teddy, my wife liked that so she chose it."?
Murray added that his life his become somewhat more hectic since the new arrival, and jokingly ruled out adding a fourth member of the family.??
"It's been good, it's just busy," he continued. "We’ve got three under four now and two dogs?? so you’ve got to keep an eye out all the time but it’s been good, sleeping fine.
Everyone’s healthy. This time the girls have been really good actually.?
Murray said having his children watching him play tennis?? was one of his motivations for continuing in the sport, despite looking likely to retire after last year's French Open.?

Hi Pamela - I'm sure your new flat will look like a proper home once you get it sorted - lovely to think about sharing it with a little furry friend !! Also good to know you will have a gin supply within reach.
Hello Terry, you certainly have a couple of wonderful Remembrance Sunday photos with little Alfie, thank you for sharing them.

Thanks for sharing the lovely photos of Alfie Terry.
Pamela any idea when you will move in to your flat? It will be nice to have a kitten. If we were not right on a busy road I might have considered getting one.
Our friend Jerry is due to arrive any time now for a meal so while I am cooking I am partaking of a gin or two. Cooking a roast dinner with apple crumble to follow fir tge men and I am having fruit and yoghurt.

Thanks Vicky - the photos are pretty good aren't they? I'm hoping that this time I'll be lucky enough to get the one I took in Oldham on Monday - here goes.

Good morning everyone.
Morning hugs for all.
Weigh in last night and still within target so all is well.
I have now written all my Christmas cards and wrapped most of my presents. Still got to finish knitting a cardigan for Gt granddaughter Emogen.
Not a lot on today so we might get out in the forest for a walk. Lots of pigs still out, they are normally taken in this time of year but as there is a glut of acorns they are out until December.
Have a good day everyone and take care.

Hello Vicky, bit late with my reply - hug for you too and hope that you are benefitting from the injection for your arthritis, especially as you have to finish Emogen's cardigan.
You are way ahead of me with your Christmas preparations but I expect I'll get there in the end!!
Glad you had a good weigh-in.
Big hugs to all our lovely family, do stay safe and keep warm.

I hope today will be a better day weatherwise. We went to Lymington yesterday and got really wet, had to drive through floods at Beaulieu because of the high tide. We have lots of leaves to clear up but its too wet to do it.
Our Christmas plans are up in the air at present as Craig is due to have his operation on December 20th. Its a big operation as they will be breaking all the bones in his foot to realign them and also lengthening his Achilles tendon. He is hoping to be back home for Christmas and still wants us to go over but we will have to see. He will have more idea next Thursday when he sees the surgeon. His wife will be working for part of Christmas day as she is a carer.

Hi Vicky, thank you for my morning hug. We have had very wet weather here too but luckily nothing that is causing a real problem.
Good to hear that Craig is having his op, does sound like a big job but hopefully it will be completely successful.
Hugs for you too and all our lovely family. Stay safe and warm everyone and keep well.

Hi everybody - sorry for not being on much but I've had a lot on my mind although nothing of any great importance. I am getting new hearing aids next week which will be better than the present ones. I saw a new consultant at our local hospital and he agreed immediately that I needed them. That was only last week s things can move quickly if you can see the right person.
Otherwise things are more or less as they were a few weeks ago with everything pretty well sorted. Just have to keep calm to avoid problems with the ticker . I hope all is well with everyone. Back a bit sooner next time. Take care .

Hope everyone else is well and that you will all join me tomorrow for large drinks to help me celebrate yet another birthday - how do they come round so quick these days???
