Hi Vicky,
Glad to see that John's stent has been successfully implanted. A little while back they would not have been able to open up an artery if it had been blocked at both ends so hats off to progress. He'll be on blood thinners for a long while now so he'll have to take care - tell him - NO duelling! By the way, about the T-shirt - it seems like I might be getting one according to a little bird. My birthday is coming up soon and plans are being hatched as I write. I already have socks with Best Dad, Best Grandad on them so it's just another step along the road. Ho hum - we shall see!
Bye for now - take care everyone.

Hi Vicky, thanks for another morning hug. So pleased that John's stent has been sorted, albeit with a bit of a complication, and hope he will be home soon.
Hello Terry, do keep us up to date on the birthday garments (lol).

Hi Kim,
Remembered that I also have Superdad underpants but best to keep those hidden I suppose!

Don't be a spoilsport Terry !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good morning everyone.
Morning hugs for all.
John is home from hospital, so hoping for good recovery.
A nice day again but cooler than it has been. We are off out today, going to Haskins garden centre and Hobbycraft as I need to get some more wool and a pattern so that I can have some knitting to do, I cant just sit and watch TV and it helps keep my arthritic hands from seizing up. Ian had a good sail yesterday.
Have a good day everyone and take care.

Hello Vicky, thanks for another morning hug. So pleased to hear that John is home from hospital and wish him a very speedy recovery.
Evening all - nice to read some good news and pleased to see Vicky's son-in-law is home again. They don't keep you in long after a stent these days but things have improved so much since my first one way back in 2000. Anyway give him my best please Vicky.
Kim, I think you are being very saucy about the hint that you think I should display myself in my undiepanties! The idea - mmmmm! Have to think about that but I have something even racier than the SuperDad ones. (Father Christmas red thong with white trimming but I can't find the pointy hat that goes with it.)
The weather has changed here also and we've had pouring rain for almost two days now after a couple of sunny ones.
I see that although the inmates have not quite taken over the asylum they are doing their best to show what clowns they are by waving banners all over the country. I really hope that Boris and Jacob steer us safely through the final stages of getting out of the bloody EU. While we are still in it there are 28 countries involved but only ten are paying in. The other 18 are just taking money out year after year. Total lunacy but no wonder they all voted to try to keep us in. Why do so many of our politicians appear so keen to stop us leaving? There must be something in it for them that we do not know about. Rant over - bye everyone - sleep tight and hugs all round!

Hi Terry, OK I admit to being rather saucy about your SuperDad underpants, what a naughty girl I am !!!! But perhaps the Father Christmas 'outfit' would be more exciting or do we have to wait until Christmas Eve when you have got into the spirit of the occasion? (lol).
Yes, there is much more to this EU lunacy than meets the eye and I am not convinced we will ever know the whole truth - right now I am certain we are simply being treated as a cash cow and an over-generous one at that !!!!

Only too true Kim and it makes me wonder how the EU has been so successful in their propaganda to get so many Remainers accepting their every word. They just will not accept the truth no matter how often they are told it.
Christmas isn't far away Kim - we shall have to see what Father Christmas sends you as a pressie!

How lovely Terry - to kill two birds with one stone - ie Father Christmas and Gin, because I will always make sure we have a good supply !!!!!
Good morning everyone. Yet another month gone.
Morning hugs for all.
Terry we will make sure we dont run out of gin.
We had a good day out on Friday and I cam home with two knitting patterns and some wool. Patterns have become very expensive theses days. I have already made a good start on one of the jumpers for Emogen for Christmas.
Ian is taking part in a race at the boat club today so that will leave me to have a day gardening and reading, might watch the rowing championships as well.

Got weighed this morning and was vey pleased to find that I have lost 9lbs this week.
Great stuff, Pamela !! So that leaves you free to partake of the gin and whatever else takes your fancy. I shall be having an aperitif shortly so do come and join me along with anyone else out there who fancies a little tipple.
Thanks, Vicky. I still have some way to go yet but I did more than pass one of the targets I had set myself for today.
Just had a bit of a flap on here. Everyone evacuated from their rooms and the place full of handsome firemen (Whoo-hoo!). All turned out to be a false alarm and we were able to return to our rooms in time to watch the start of 'Fighter Pilot - The Real Top Gun'.

Don't be greedy Pamela - save one of those handsome firemen for me please (lol)!!!!!
Afternoon everyone - I hope all are well and not bothered too much by the weather. Windy as heck round here which is making me look a bit of a numpty for buying a cantilever parasol at this time of year. We've managed to use it twice only and winds above 50kilometres per hour are too much. I suppose that is about 40mph - or ami I going the wrong way in my reckoning?
I hope you'll all forgive me for adding this picture but it looks to me like someone is teaching young Alfie bad habits. Just take a glance at his right hand!

Hi Terry - got the same windy weather here but not too bad. You don't need forgiving for sending this lovely pic of Alfie, whatever he is doing with his right hand - just love it. He will be able to dine out on it in years to come !!!!!!!
Good morning everyone.
Morning hugs for all.
Gorgeous picture of Alfie and his Mum.
Pamela have you all settled down after a visit from the handsome firemen? I had a friend who was in the bath when the bath lifting aid failed and her carer was not allowed to get her out, she had to be rescued by a fire crew, all a bit embarrassing for her.
Terry it was very windy here yesterday, all the leaves are starting to come down, hope it is less windy today as Ian wants to go sailing and its difficult to get on and off his mooring when it is too windy.

Vicky, I think that the sensor on one of the bedroom doors down my corridor was giving off a false reading as the engineers have been in to deal with it.
How embarrassing for your friend to be caught in the bath like that. I hope that her carer managed to drape her with a towel and at least save some of her blushes.

We had a quiet weekend. I watched the Wales/Ireland rugby match on Saturday. World cup starts soon.
Looks like we are in for rain today but the garden needs it especially the lawn.
Will start getting the van ready for our holiday next week.

Good Morning Vicky (well just!!). Always good to get your morning hug, thank you. Talking of rain, it is absolutely hammering down here - hard enough to give the car a wash !! Do hope you get decent weather for your holiday next week - fingers crossed - enjoy anyway.
Take care and stay safe everyone.

It was weigh-in day today and I have lost another 2lbs. This means that I have lost just over a stone over the last 3 weeks.
Kim, there is a G & T crisis happening here. My friend, Lee, who is always very good at bringing in things for me, has gone on holiday and my other friend, Julie, has been very busy working so has been unable to get in. I have a supply of tonic nicely chilled...….. how do you feel about parachuting in with a bottle of gin?

On my way, Pamela, just come and grab me when I land !!!!

Morning hugs for all.
Just had a clear out of my Begonia tubs, they were still flowering well but I didnt want to have to do them when we get back. Hope to buy some winter flowers for them while we are away. Forecast looks good for next week, lovely here today but more rain tomorrow.
Well done on your weight loss Pamela, I get weighed tonight.
We are off to Lymington shortly to get some birthday cards.

A very Happy Birthday, Terry. I will pour the G & T s as soon as fresh supplies arrive. Cheers! xx
Afternoon everyone - stuck in the house today while a young workman is fitting a new boiler since the old one has packed in. It's been repaired a couple of times so past it now and as they say in my home town - 'It wants mending with a fresh 'un'.
Thanks for the good wishes for my birthday yesterday and I can say it was a lovely day. Most of the family popped in at random times and Gary took us out for a meal along with Connie and the latest addition to the clan in young Alfie. Luckily he was hardly any trouble since his feed kept him pretty quiet almost all the time. I thought the occasion was going to be kept quiet but I was surprised when all the staff suddenly surrounded me and sang Happy Birthday. Very nice and a bit touching when it's not expected. Some lovely cards and a few presents although I keep telling everybody not to bother with them.

Hope this works - New T shirt Patricia arranged for my birthday amost identical to the one we got for Gary for becoming a Grand Dad.
There seems to be a problem putting on attachments at the moment, Terry. I've tried and failed on several occasions in the last few days.
I'll try again with my other laptop later today. The one I was using is an old one. It's a pain really.
Hi Terry - such a nuisance having to have a new boiler, just hope everything works OK, especially with the chilly weather approaching.
Glad to hear you had a lovely birthday with cards and pressies and a lovely meal with the family.

Tuned in to mytameside.co.uk today on my laptop to listen to my daughter Lynn doing her weekly guest spot on local radio. She's the PRO for a local Hospice called Willow Wood. She talks fluently but she always does anyway.
Hi Kim,
The new boiler had better work - it's supposed to be top of the range - it took a while today to get hot water when I was only washing the breakfast dishes. Any trouble from now on and I'll be steaming let alone the water! Anyway I'll see if I can get the picture of my T-shirt on this time.
Seems not to be - I'll check the size - it may be too large.

I've just noticed that I appear to have a new message in my mailbox. I clicked to open it but got a message telling me to open an account so that FR can E=mail me with offers and messages. Anyone else had this? It seems weird but things are often weird on here.
Hi Terry - I think boilers are a bit like that to start with, just need to get 'bedded in'. Good luck with getting a picture of your T-shirt on - seems like existing photos have been disappearing too!!
I haven't personally had any strange messages but maybe FR have had something flag up about your subscription needing to be renewed, even if that isn't the case!!!!! Things are very weird on here sometimes as we all know. I think there are several things playing up at the moment, when one thing goes wrong it jolts another one into erroneous action !!!! For instance, I had 5 messages in my mailbox today and was informed there were only 2. What jolly fun it all is !! Good luck !!

Civilisation has returned to Ingersley Court! My youngest son, Andrew, came in to see me this afternoon and brought fresh supplies of gin and tonic along with smoked salmon slices, Activia peach yoghurts and a tub of lovely fresh green grapes so I will be able to have a proper nightcap tonight.
This all sounds quite delicious Pamela - are you up for a boozy midnight feast?? I could easily be persuaded to join you !! What would you like me to bring, apart from the obvious ?? - don't want to deplete your gin supplies too much !!
You are very welcome to join me, Kim. I shall be ringing for the butler in about an hour to bring me my chilled tonic water from the fridge and then the fun can begin. x
ps Perhaps some table waters, butter and camembert would go down nicely, Kim. What do you think?

Sounds just perfect Pamela. Sorry I am late in replying - assume your butler doesn't clock-off (lol).
Hi Terry - have had some problems with Mailbox today. One of our Members was unable to reply to my message (FR kept asking for him to insert Recipients) and when he did eventually make contact (via Friends) I had the same problem with my attempted reply. I have also been unable to access messages that I sent successfully earlier in the day. I have flagged it up to Support in the hope it will all be rectified !!!!!1 Hope you haven't had had more strange occurrences, be interested to hear if you have. Meanwhile, keep taking the gin - doesn't cure anything but it makes the world seem a better place !!!!!!!!
Hi Kim,
Nothing new to report but considering that FR claim to produce bespoke systems for others it seems very odd that we have so many of these glitches. I'm paid up until October 2020 when I'll reconsider what the future holds for me. Since I'll be ninety then it will a very pressing decision. I'm just going to check my mailbox to find out if the problem has been resolved. Watch this space - erm, well another one actually which will be along in a minute!

Got the message from our good friend Syd. Update tomorrow by your leave. We'll, it's a long message!
