Good morning everyone.
Yes Colum Brian has arrived, very windy and very heavy showers. Exbury Gardens is closed today due to the weather, very high tides are expected along with coastal flooding.
I have got to get busy in the kitchen as Kim and tony are coming to see us today.
Have a good day everyone and take care.

Belated Birthday Greetings Lynn, hope you had a great day with lots of pressies.
Kim, We have only just booked for last years birthday present from my daughter and family, trip to Kew Gardens for a few hours during the day and back in the evening for the Christmas lights in the gardens! Staying two nights. On the Sunday, meet up with the family who all live nearby. We missed out last year due to George's second ankle replacement operation.
This year, on my birthday, we were with our oldest Grandaughter. She has Crohns and has regular infusions. After her treatment, we went for a meal in Melton, near Woodbridge for a delicious meal.

We definitely have Brian visiting us at the moment Colum, it could be worse but glad I didn't need to go out today.

My youngest son got a cocker spaniel puppy a couple or more months back and sent me photos attached to an E-mail. I have been trying without success to upload it to my photo file or copy and paste them. He is a little black and tan job and has been named Koda after the baby bear in the Disney film 'Brother Bear'.

Good morning everyone, a quieter day than yesterday thank goodness.
Pamela if the photo is on an email as an attachment you should be able to download it and then save it to your file, well that's how I do it. I would love a spaniel if a rescue one came my way.
We had a lovely few hours with Kim and Tony yesterday. They bought me a Teapot nesting box for Robins so I shall have to find a suitable place for it in the garden.

Vicky, I don't usually have any problem with E-mail attachments but these photos of Koda simply refuse to be saved. It's such a shame because he is really cute and I'd love to be able to share them with you all.
Lovely photo of your great granddaughter. Can I see a touch of the young Vicky there?

Good morning everyone, a dull grey morning.
Yes Emogen is a lovely little girl, in fact I am proud of my Grandson and his wife as they manage on only one wage and don't but things that they cant afford. They buy a lot of Emogen clothes from charity shops and I knit quite a few. We shall be spending Christmas day with them so it will all revolve around Emogen this year.
I spoke to Craig yesterday and he now has a boot on instead of the plaster but is having trouble walking as he has a big screw in his ankle and a couple more in his foot. It is going to take a long while to get over this op and then he has to have the other foot done.

Good morning everyone, a very grey dull morning.
We are off out for lunch today courtesy of our eldest daughter, she is driving over from Brighton to see us as it is half term so she is on holiday. She is a data/exams manager at a large secondary school.
Weigh in tonight with a taster night where we all take something with no syn or low syn value and tonight we are going to swap ideas for staying on track for Christmas. I am making a Weetabix cake which actually tastes like bread pudding.

I don't know about being spoiled rotten, Colum, but she is very much loved and treasured as she is a miracle IVF baby.
Good morning everyone, a very grey dull day.
Lovely photos of Emma Pamela.
Good to hear that Alan's check up went well Kim, think I might need my cataracts doing in the near future, my optician has got me on yearly check ups now and my right eye is definitely getting worse.
Had a good time last night at slimming world and I am still at target.
We had a lovely lunch with Tracey yesterday but I did fall by the wayside when Ian had the cheeseboard for pudding, I was going to resist but I do love cheese.
Have a good day and take care.

Hi Pamela, thank you for the photo of Emma, what a little beauty.
Vicky, hope you get your cataracts sorted soon - Alan says he didn't realise how bad his eyes had become until after his ops.

Bob is absolutely right about cataracts Vicky - on both occasions Alan had a local anaesthetic and was in and out in 45 minutes.

Patricia had her right eye done a year ago and was expecting to be sent for the left eye last month but our optician said it isn't ready yet. He's prescribed special glasses with a prism in but she isn't happy with them. Apparently they make her feel as if her left eye is being pulled to the side. I said if she can't get used to them she will have to go back and ask for something different.

Late on parade today but I have been busy. My cataracts are not bad enough yet according to my optician. I see him again next March. I had a letter from the Dr requesting that I go for a blood test as I take Ramipril which can affect the kidneys, got it booked for Monday.
I had a fall today when I was gardening, not much damage apart from the fence that I fell in to and Ian has repaired that now.
It is Margaret and Phils golden Wedding this Saturday but I am not sure if Phil is home yet.
Good luck with your MOT Colum.

Hello Vicky, sorry to hear you had a fall today, just hope you are OK. Take care. Hope that Phil is home for Saturday so he and Margaret can share their Golden Wedding Anniversary together. I will be thinking of them.
Hi Vicky, I hope that you are ok after your fall and not too badly bruised. We don't bounce so easily as we used to do we? I'm in the same boat as you with the Ramipril and getting called for blood tests.
Daisy is looking very beautiful at the moment as she has been to the groomers this afternoon and Hannah has done a really good job .... just the way I like her, nice and tidy but not too short a cut. She has also acquired a new collar as her old one was beginning to look a bit tatty. Her new one is pink leather with diamantes ... very bling princess!!

Such sad news about Phil, Vicky. They really have been messed about dreadfully by the NHS. Poor Phil seems to have spent so much of his time waiting for one thing or another and in pain.
Good news about your mole.
