You are a South African bush pilot. You fly in some critical medical supplies, enjoy a quick lunch at the hospital. It is a stifling 100 degrees in the shade and you are eager to get back up to the cool, high blue yonder. On the way back to your plane, you discover that the only bit of shade within 1 mile, has become very popular… You start calculating the distance to the plane door… and wonder “Do I feel lucky today?”
This is my friends daughters dog, Lenni. He's a little worried at the moment as his best friend, my friends dog, Benji, had to be rushed to the Vets today following a seizure. He's stable now but has to have more blood tests tomorrow.

The man who has been close to him since 1972 enters the cage and after a few minutes the Chimp lifts his head, puts one arm around the man and gives him one last smile. This had me in tears.

John, I shed tears when I watched. Always a bitter/sweet few days for me. My sweet funny younger sister died on my birthday, which was the 17th, just days before her own on the 21st. They call ovarian cancer the silent killer, just didn't know the symptoms she had were signs of it until it was too late.
