Took home afterwards to his house. A really wonderful day with the perfect weather, trouble is that everybody thought so and came out for a drive. Motor cyclists everywhere and cars with terrorists who only wanted to watch the scenery instead of watching where they were driving. Occupational hazard in this tourist spot with such tremendous views. Ended up back in Woodford in time for the raffles in the pub...Failed again. Now home and the sun has set and the most magnifient moon rise is happening and my camera is not good enought for the light. The moon is huge. I have had my tea, but am still hungry, so am cooking some rice and bacon in a stir fry form. Hopefully that will give me a decent snack for later. I do lots of rice each couple of days and put it in the fridge, using what I want, until it gone. With two dogs, that is not long. See yer later.

Need a bit of roughers to get the blood flowing and the adreneline going. Everybody else, apart from Margaret, seem to be still in bed or doing something else. I have met 3 Australians who were at the Falklands, Hugh. They were on exchange and stayed with their ships. When they returned, they were told that they were not at the Falklands by the Ozz Gubbernment....!!!!!! Nearly gave you a phone call Margaret at 0500 this morning in Ozz. Patricia, It will be easier and less costly for you to leave your Mutley at home. Not the words you want to hear, but nearly everywhere you can go with dogs, you lose them to quarintine when you get home...For longer than you go away for. I know this, as some of the people I housesit tried taking animals with them on cruises, airlines etc and it cost them a fortune to have the animals with them, and when they got home the animal was quarintined. It is cheaper to have the dog go to a five star pets resort and she would be there when you get home. Maybe sulking a little, but neverthe less, you will still be able to collect and go for walks. Only six weeks before I will be heading North to the Port Douglas resort for my holiday at the resort. Cost an arm and a leg, but I am not paying. Budget read last night in parliament. The usual story, more taxes, more pain, and less handouts. Of course, if your a immigrant come in from Pakistan or Afganistan, you can have the world. Defence spending is being cut,,,,again.... but the amount of work needed doing is doubling.....Not sure how that works. 12 new submarines by 2020, but not have anyone to crew them and apart from that, they were promised for 4 years ago.... Fiddling the books???? 2 large helicopter carriers being built, one due at the end of this year from Spain. No bloody aircraft to put on it and the other ship is going straight into mothballs when it arrives in the country. Where do these civial servant dream these dreams without the money or personel to support them.? Idiots, all of them. Rant over. ...Going for brekkie.

Patch is off to spend a couple of days with the dog sitter Linda as we have to be up and awy early tomorrow to go to Rays funeral in Kent, we are driving to Gosport where we will go with Craig and Bev. It will be a long day as it is a church funeral followed by a cremation and then a reception at his local pub. Patricia sorry to hear that you wont be able to take Bandit on the Queen Victoria and 30 days quarantine is no good for Bandit, he will be better off staying at home with all his home comforts. Margaret I didnt see much of the cricket as the sun was out I had to get out in it and sat and read the paper. I did a bit of gardening but not much. Enjoy your time with Amelia. Have a good day everyone and take care.

A couple of weeks ago, all people in the pub were in shorts and tee shirts, tonight, only 4 of us in shorts and most of the others had long pants and jumpers on. Not that cold yet, but it will not be long. I am lucky, I have plenty of fat on me to keep the cold at bay. Only just about a fortnight before I move from this place and have to go back to the caravan. Not really in the mood for that, so may ring my mate at Childers and see if I can go up to his place for a week or two. I am sitting up that way in October for the month, so maybe I can get in and stock the fridge, (Bar type) ready for the month. Will see what happens then. No shopping today. Do not need anything, in fact this afternoon I did myself a rice pudding with custard and cream topped with Strawberry jam. Long time since I have done that. Bugger the diet. I have just come in from the garden from checking on the dogs. They were sounding off. A marvellous clear night sky with a canopy of stars stretching for miles. Cool, around 5c and really crisp. Is the frost coming tonight? No moon yet, but will be above very soon. I will say goodnight to you all and please enjoy your day. Stay safe and warm. Thank you Vicky! I had your No correctly in the book.

Hi Margaret love, I hope Phil gets to feeling a bit better today, that little bit of sunshine may help brighten up the day! Amelia time again this week, how lucky you are. I am beginning to wonder if i shouldnt just, instead of spending 10 k to get to Oz on my tod, I should just send the money and for that much, my family can all visit me here? Its an idea, as I will def have to take a companion with me on the cruise/s as I would have to cruise from NZ too, and you know I sometimes need waiting on, ....once or twice. But as they want me to go live there, I suppose I will probably just fly, get there quicker, suss it out and then make a decision.....decisions.. decisions... Hi Harry my darling I have written so many times to you and lost it, i hope you havent forgotten me. I hope you are still onb top of the game healthwise and fit for your next visit plans. My darlin little leprechaun , where are you? We are all missing you. I shall call you later love, and hopefully I can catch you home. I will send this before I lose it.....

Always lots to see and do, I hope the weather holds up for you and no doubt at all, the shytehawks will save it up for you. Speaking of which, Aaron and I learned something new over the past few days,.....there was spme strange things sitting on my patio table, sitting in the water (from the rain) I kept wiping them off, thinking they were large bird poops, but thyen i saw about 20 of them in the bird bath! So we researched them, I thought they were slug crysalis, (sp) but no, it turns out they are Greckel (like a blackbird family) Grechel faecal sacs! Apparently the baby birds, poop in them whilst in the nest and the parents pull them out of the bird and drop them , in water, mainly in rivers it said! Amazing, its like having a built in diaper I dont find them so gross now I know what they are, nature is wonderful!
