I served in the Royal Electrical& Mechanical Engineers (R.E.M.E.) from 1971 to 1980 and think that we should be able to purchase the silver jubilee medal and wear it with pride and receive the Diamond jubilee medal as a matter of course.

Hi All, I agree we should all receive this medal as a mark of our service no matter how short or long it was, we all joined up for similar reasons - to serve and save our country no matter what it costs us...

I served the Military for 22 years of the Her Majesty's Reign. Not 5 or 6 years. It would be nice if powers to be would be fair and give the Diamond Jubilee Medal to those who really deserve it, that's all serving members during the Queens Reign.

I don't have anything tangible to mark my 4 years in the WRAF, I would love to have at least one commemorative medal to give my grandchildren.

Those who completed 5 years Military service should receive a Queens Jubilee Medal. Veterans deserve the Medal due to their loyal service
