Was on the Uganda during the conflict. Help carry Simon Weston to the burns unit, read to him while a nurse went for meds.

My daughter was born in the hospital at Port Stanley. My wife and I had moved to the Islands to live in an aluminium cosley home especially for the engineering team responsible for the original airport on Cape Pembroke. My wife taught at the local primary school up until the birth of our daughter.

We went we all did our duty over those weeks. my fellow marines that were based on the island when the argies invaded (I believe 35 in total) put up one hell of a defence and gave them a bloody nose with no deaths. Then we the task force left and completed the job. The government has lost all...

I was 19 when I sailed down to the Falklands in 82. I have a few good mates who were down there in the conflict. We are still good mates 37 Years later

This present day UK Goverment could not care a jot about land not physical joined to main land uK, They will let the Falklands, Gibraltar, and even the isle of white go, as long as they hang onto Shetland Isles, I did 18 moths up there, voluntered and really enjoyed the peace and quiet walking up...

Sorry to know about you friends Pamela May they Rest in Peace. My son in laws 2 brothers were there on the Penelope and a friend was airlifted off the Sir Galahad with Simon Weston and still suffers P T S D .They did their duty and did it well
