For Those Involved In CW Testing At Porton Down
This campaign is to try to form an Association for those who were experimented on at Porton Down. If you are a Veteran of Porton, then please join the Association - it's free.
It is now estimated that since 1916, 42,000 service personnel were used in experiments. All were volunteers and came from all three services.
The experiments were designed to provide data to help with the development of both offensive and defensive procedures, equipment, antidotes, clothing and respirators for Military and Civilian use.

Hi Ian,
I wish you luck, as you say many volunteered.
I served in the RAF 1957 - 1980. Often in Station Routine Orders there was an insertion asking for volunteers to go to Porton Down for 'research into the common cold.' It would seem that this was not the case, they were allegedly exposed to...
