What a load of rubbish, we all left for one reason or another why carry around an I.D. card? the E.U. wanted everyone in U.K to have one as in all the other E.U. States but it very nearly caused a war we all have proof of identity

John, when I first joined forces reunited I took up an option - a members discount card, but never found anyone who actually accepted it!! Maybe I shop in the wrong shops. These incentives are ok but they have to have a good acceptance spread to be of any real use. Now if we could get money off say...

Like most respondents, I'm not sure what another identity card would serve. I like most have my Red Book - certificate of service and that has been sufficient when applying for jobs etc. If there a specific example where having such a card would benefit the veteran then I'd like to hear about this.

I did my National Service in Cyprus and I am proud of what I achieved and I am not afraid to tell anyone which I do whenever I can because we are at the age now when we will fade away and be forgotten and the Cyprus Emergency as it was called is still not recognised by Government.
