are my messages getting to my friends,it seems strange i am getting no reply,s back or do other members have the same problem???

I´m having the same problem, there are never any replies. I contacted a friend by phone and he has never heard of this website although, his service datas are in here.
Maybe, it would be good to have a method of seeing if the messages are being read or if people are no longer enrolled.

The name of your friend may not be him, I searched for your name as George Knight and there are 8 with that name, it is the same if I put my surname in as Draper and could not remember christian name and there are pages of my surname, it all depends what people knew you as with the christian name. so as I say it could be coincidental that another person is the one you found on here and thought it was your friend.

Bearing in mind the receiver also needs to be a full member to respond.
We have tried making this free in the past and members just ended up receiving lots of spam!

WHATS THE USE IN TRYING TO REACH OUR FRIENDS,WHEN FORCES REUNITED TELL YOU THE PERSON YOU ARE TRYING TO CONTACT MAY NOT BE A MEMBER,THERE SHOULD BE A WAY OF SEEING IF OUR MESSAGES ARE BEING READ,OR A NOTE TELLING US THE PERSON IS NO LONGER ON LINE,WE PAY THE MONEY FOR THIS SERVICE,BUT ARE NOT GETTING FULL FEEDBACK,FORCES REUNITED SHOULD LOOK AT THE AMOUNT OF UNSATISFIED MEMBERS THAT ALL HAVE THIS SAME PROBLEM, SOMETHING IS WRONG SOMEWHERE.

I agree! The impression which I had was that - if a person is found you could contact them. Dos`nt see like it!

We only ask you for an email address when you register, and of course recommend you keep it up to date.
We allow full members to send messages to each other.
We cannot of course dictate what any members should do.
Allowing anyone to see whether a message is read or not goes down dangerous privacy territory that a few email providers tried years ago, and got quite correctly slammed for. We won't be going down that route.
We have over 1 million members, and have had literally 4 complaints about this in the last year.
I understand your frustrations, but unless someone can suggest a miracle way we haven't thought of in 20 years, there's not a lot more we can do than sending your message to the address we have on file.
Im not sure what you mean by "WHEN FORCES REUNITED TELL YOU THE PERSON YOU ARE TRYING TO CONTACT MAY NOT BE A MEMBER" - as far as I am aware, we do not state this anywhere?
