Hello everyone, I'm researching family history and have come across some scant details about one of my uncles. He was part of the Occupying Forces in Germany post WWII. He met and fell in love with his future wife, a local German girl and they married (after the non-fraternisation ban was lifted) and settled in England a year or two later. Apparently, when he first met her she was working for the NAAFI. Is this possible? I thought the NAAFI was a British military organisation and therefore assumed it only employed British nationals. Did they employ local Germans? She was a typist and translator. Thanks and hope you can help.
