I have only just joined Forces United.org, after wondering for so long where my old army mates were and how they were doing, memories still come flooding back, but faces and names take a little harder, thankfully "Titch" was a mine of info, reminding me of names I still can remember and lots I don’t lol. His recollection has made me feel so glad I joined.

Chris and me became best Oppos on the cruise 68/69 on HMS Bulwark [ affectionately known as the Rusty B ] both being Airy fairies Flight deck duties. We both covered ships land rover drivers as well which in those times was a great number, it also meant a blue watch card meaning we could go ashore anytime. !!! Our skipper at the time Captain John Templeton Cotthill was filmed as were the ratings by Yorkshire TV, showing modern day operating conditions aboard a warship. The film called Captain RN 1969 was aired whilst we were at sea. Chris Was my Best man January 1970, and I returned the favour later that year. We lost contact and all my efforts to find him failed, until I spotted his details on Forces Reunited page a few weeks ago. Fantastic, we have been in contact and are due to meet up in a couple of weeks time after41 years of loosing contact. Just being back in touch again, and with my health problems, we are both over the moon to think after all these years we are in contact again. Keep searching everyone, you never know, you probably will find someone from way back in your past. Thank You Forces Reunited.

Hi, I my name is Susan I am a twin and my sister’s name is Jean, our father’s name is Philip Seymour and was married to my mother Margaret Elizabeth in Sheffield, Yorkshire. I am looking to contact my father. Do any of these details refer to you? Regards - Susan Sissons After receiving the above e-mail which I replyed to, I have been in touch with both my twin daughters one I had not seen for 54 years the other one I’ve not seen for 33years, as they had move to Australia. The daughter that found me had my army number on the back of her birth certificate. I had recently scanned an army photo with my army number and put it on the Forces Reunited site to see if I could find any personel I was with doing my 2 years national service 1954 to 1956 with the R.A.O.C, but up to now no replies. Since being in touch with my twin daughters we have met up, with one daughter in Hawaii on a holiday, then back to her home in Queensland Australia for more holiday and meeting my other twin who I had not seen since she was 18mths old, that was 54 years ago. It just goes to show if it was’nt for Forces Reunited, internet, I would not have found my lost family. My daughters have found some old photos and made up an album for me of their past lives, I am over the moon OAP 77 years old
